"I
am the captain of the Rock Bridge
High School Color Guard in Columbia
Missouri. We have not had a winning
season in ten years and at the
beginning of this season we were not
being very productive because
everyone was just being generally
negative. We got the purple
bracelets for every member of the
guard. We watched each other and
encouraged the Complaint Free
mindset. We all (10 of us) reached
21 consecutive Complaint Free days
in a little over 2 months.
This mindset has led us to a very successful
season. In our first competition we
placed first in our division and
first over all out of all the bands!
At our largest competition (Greater
St. Louis Marching Festival we
placed 4th out of almost 75 bands.
We then went on to win the
University of Missouri competition.
So, for ten years we have had poor seasons and
then, this year, we go on to win
nearly every competition we are
involved in. I credit our success to
the purple bracelets and just want
to thank you for not only giving us
a winning season but bringing us all
so much closer together. My greatest
thanks!

world wanting to
become Complaint
Free! Below
are answers to some
frequently asked
questions:
Now that you also
offer bracelets,
books, and t-shirts
for sale how long
does it take for the
package to arrive?
The turnaround time from when we receive your order is
very quick. We pack
items several times
each week and ship
out on a continual
basis. Currently, it
is taking about 2
weeks for the
package to arrive to
US locations and
about 2-3 weeks for
international
locations. Keep in
mind
we are in the
holiday season, the
time for delivery by
the postal service
may be extended.
How about shipping
of Free bracelets
and bracelets to
Non-Profit
organizations?
Fulfillment of these orders and shipment of packages is
reliant on donations
received as well as
any profits made on
the purchase of
other items on our
website. We recently
received a large
shipment of
bracelets from our
suppliers and with
the donations
received to date we
will have many of
these out within the
next 2-3 weeks.
Why is the status of
my order not being
updated?
Because of the volume of requests we receive, and
because our system
requires us to
manually update the
shipping status, we
are unable to
provide up-to-date
shipment status. If
a reasonable amount
of time has passed
(typically 3-4 weeks
from your order
date) and you have
not received your
package, please
e-mail me at
tom@complaintfreeworld.biz.
Please remember we
cannot provide
tracking status on
"Free" or
"Non-Profit"
requested bracelets.
How are packages
mailed and can you
track packages?
All packages are mailed via the US Postal Service.
International orders
are mailed from the
US and delivered by
your local post
service. In order to
keep your costs
down, we ship in a
way where we cannot
track individual
packages. If you've
not received your
package in about 4
weeks from the date
of your order, we
can assist in
tracking down a
package or
delivering a new one
right away.

Millions of of people have or are
dying from AIDS and famine in South
Africa. It is easy for the
people there to become lost in the
focus of how things are rather than
visioning a brighter future for this
wonderful country.
Big Brothers/Big Sisters of South
Africa are making a difference in
the lives of thousands of children.
They requested purple Complaint Free
bracelets and we were honored to
send them to help keep the focus on
a positive future for South Africa.
"O-the Oprah Magazine" contacted us
wanting to include a purple
Complaint Free bracelet in each of
the 85,000 magazines they will
distribute in South Africa in
February 2008. We agreed with
a request that they do a story on
Big Brothers/Big Sisters of South
Africa to raise awareness as to the
wonderful work they are doing.
They agreed, so the article will
spotlight an incredible organization
and put purple bracelets onto the
wrists of nearly 100,000 people in
South Africa. |

Why Do People Complain?
|
|
Michael Cunningham, Ph.D., a
psychologist at the
University of Louisville,
proposes that the human
predilection for complaining
probably evolved from our
ancestors' way of crying out
a warning when something
threatened the tribe. "We
mammals are a squealing
species,” Dr. Cunningham
says, “We talk about things
that bother us as a way of
getting help or seeking a
posse to mount a
counterattack."
When
an attack is imminent, it
makes sense to sound a
warning. However, most
people are not threatened
and yet they complain 20-30
times a day as a matter of
course. In so doing,
they are sending out
negative energy and drawing
back to themselves negative
experiences.
People complain because they
have an unmet need.
They may want to have a
social connection so they
begin a conversation with a
stranger by complaining
about the weather, a
politician or local sports
team. It sounds
innocent enough but this is
actually reinforcing the
concept that "something is
wrong in my world" and our
thoughts then bring more
challenges to us as a
result.
Beyond the need to connect,
many people have a need to
be admired so they will
complain about other's
behavior as a way of saying,
"I'm better than that
person." Or, they may
complain about the food at a
restaurant as a way of trying
to display their high
standards. In both of
these cases, complaining is
bragging and nobody likes a
braggart.
People who habitually
complain are often
ostracized by their family,
friends and coworkers.
Complainers tend to have
poorer health and not do as
well at work.
Whatever the reason a person
may complain, there are a
lot of important reasons to
put on a purple bracelet and
break the habit, NOW! |

Last spring
I was very
down because
of the
complaining
we as
teachers
hear from
kids, other
teachers and
parents. In
desperation,
I submitted
my
resignation
but my
principal
convinced me
to take a
few days off
rather than
quitting on
the spot.
During this time off, I was at home and happened to
tune in to
the Oprah
show and saw
Will Bowen
talking
about the
Complaint
Free
bracelets. I
got the
purple
bracelets
and gave
them to
students,
teachers and
some
parents.
Many kids
came back
wanting them
for their
parents as
well.
This program has totally changed our school. The kids
are more
upbeat and
positive.
Parents
approach me
in the
grocery
store to
thank me for
bringing the
Complaint
Free concept
to our
community.
But the
biggest
change has
been the
change in
me. I have
become a
better
listener and
I now check
myself when
others have
something to
say.
When I walked into my principal’s office to quit and
was
encouraged
to take time
off instead,
I believe it
was Divine
intervention
making
certain I’d
be home to
watch the
Oprah show
so I could
bring this
our school
and watch it
spread into
our
community.
